Better Late than NEVER: #AftertheSOLslam June 2016

Hello Wakefield Poetry Club! We got the pictures from Ciera Johnson (graduated 2016).
They are amazing. We can't wait for our #AftertheSOLslam this year!

Our poets are ready for the INAUGURAL Poetry Slam.

Our hosts couldn't have done a better job keeping the audience laughing. #WeMISSyouTrinity

Our sacrificial poet takes to the stage. Thanks, Destiny!

Nice way to start the slam!

Quimari sets the stage on fire with her words about women's rights.

Carlos shares a poem inspired by the Orlando tragedy.
Bek battles stage fright and WINS!

Alex Pearson shares a medley of poems about friendship...and Quantum Mechanics.

If you're happy and you know it visit a slam!

Alana talks about consent.

Our featured artist brought his MOM. She is a WAKEFIELD GRADUATE!

Mark's poem "Ode to Booty" is a hit.

He had the crowd laughing the entire poem!
See! Even our Featured Artist YONAS was almost on the floor!

Wakefield's own Mr. Bingham shares a poem while the judges calibrate scores.

The WINNER is Moya! We are all winners on this night, #warriornation!
(It is not about the points; it is about the poetry.)

Here is a really, really long video, too. (Why not watch it.)
